And then suddenly the tone of the film entirely shifted, just for two beings walking the forest at night, in love.
The 1970s animated Robin Hood was probably definitely the first Disney movie I saw as a child of the 1990s on VHS. As a child, I would rewind and replay the tape of every movie I watched until static built up on the TV.
I recall it now as such a slapstick, wacky, funny thing: so many characters as walking and talking animals, their exaggerated faces and expressions, the same things that stuck out to me as a toddler.
